OVERVIEW

Providence Church Dubai in Dubai, UAE is seeking biblically qualified men who demonstrate pastoral potential and desire long-term preparation for pastoral ministry, church planting, or strengthening healthy local churches. The three-year Pastoral Residency is an immersive ministry formation program combining church-based pastoral training, theological education, mentoring, and supervised cross-cultural ministry experience. The residency emphasizes character, doctrinal depth, shepherding, and leadership development within the life of the local church.

Residents may be equipped for:

  • church planting

  • pastoral ministry at Providence Church (as opportunities arise)

  • serving another gospel-preaching church

  • continued bivocational pastoral ministry

Church planters may receive mentoring, coaching, and partnership support, though they will ordinarily be expected to raise their own long-term ministry funding.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate biblical qualifications and pastoral potential

  • Become a member of Providence Church Dubai

  • Desire long-term vocational or bivocational pastoral ministry

  • Demonstrate servant-hearted ministry and theological maturity

  • Support raised, whether partial or full, would be optimal

  • Preference may be given to applicants with prior theological education or ministry experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve approximately 20 hours per week in church-based ministry and pastoral formation

  • Complete approximately 10 hours per week of theological study through Gulf Theological Seminary, aiming for a Certificate or M.A

  • Participate in regular mentoring and regular elder interaction

  • Lead and participate in discipleship, teaching, evangelism, member care, and practical ministry

  • Develop competency in preaching, shepherding, leadership, administration, and pastoral ministry

  • Grow toward faithful pastoral service through ongoing evaluation and mentoring

  • Compensation & Support - Providence Church Dubai may provide:

    • A modest monthly stipend (About USD 1,000)

    • Assistance with theological education

    • Ministry books and resources

    • Ongoing pastoral mentoring and leadership development.

    • Because of the cost of living in Dubai, residents will ordinarily require additional financial support or income arrangements

  • Completion of the residency does not guarantee employment with Providence Church Dubai.
