OVERVIEW

Providence Church Dubai in Dubai, UAE is seeking faithful and teachable men who desire to explore God's call to pastoral ministry through a one-year Pastoral Internship. The internship is designed to provide theological formation, practical ministry experience, pastoral mentoring, and ministry discernment within the life of a healthy local church. It is intended for men who are considering vocational or bivocational ministry and desire to grow in character, biblical knowledge, ministry competency, and cross-cultural ministry experience.

This internship may serve as a pathway into the Providence Church Dubai Pastoral Residency Program. However, completion of the internship does not guarantee employment. Rather, the internship is intended to help both the intern and the elders discern future ministry direction.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate spiritual maturity and teachability

  • Become members of Providence Church Dubai

  • Exhibit servant-hearted ministry and a love for the local church

  • Be exploring vocational or bivocational pastoral ministry

  • Support-raised whether partial or full will be optimal

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate faithfully in the life and ministry of Providence Church Dubai

  • Serve approximately 20 hours per week in church-based ministry and formation

  • Participate in regular pastoral mentoring and elder interaction

  • Assist in ministry administration, discipleship, evangelism, and church ministries

  • Participate in Bible studies and introductory teaching opportunities

  • Complete assigned reading, ministry reflections, and other development activities

  • Enroll in approximately 5 hours per week of theological study (Foundations Year) through Gulf Theological Seminary or another approved institution

  • Compensation & Support - Providence Church Dubai may provide:

    • A modest monthly stipend (About USD 1,000 per month)

    • Ministry resources

    • Educational assistance where appropriate

    • Ongoing pastoral mentoring and ministry coaching

  • Possible next steps include: continue to the Pastoral Residency Program, continued ministry development, service within another local church, or further discernment regarding pastoral ministry.

  • Because of the cost of living in Dubai, residents will ordinarily require additional financial support or income arrangements
