Pastor of Connection and Mobilization

OVERVIEW

Green Level Baptist Church of Cary, NC is seeking a full-time, salaried Pastor of Connection & Mobilization to join their team. The Pastor of Connection & Mobilization will serve Green Level Baptist Church by shepherding with the Senior Pastor to connect, disciple, equip, and mobilize the church to magnify Jesus by making disciples from their neighborhoods to the nations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Not only align with but also effectively teach the Baptist Faith and Message (2000)

• Have a minimum of 3 years of full-time ministerial experience with deep involvement in all aspects of church leadership

• Have an MDiv or higher degree preferred (will consider candidates working to complete their degree)

• Enjoy building ministries and helping them flourish and you don’t require constant oversight to move tasks forward

• Believe that being a pastor means being "among the folk" and find joy in building personal relationships with the congregation

• You recognize that prayer is eminently important and a cornerstone of your life and ministry. You humbly approach God’s throne and seek to join with others in doing so regularly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Connection: Tending the Flock (Inward)

  • Member Care: share in the visitation of members, provide pastoral guidance/counsel, and answer theological questions with grace and clarity to ensure the spiritual health of all members is known, cared about, prayed for, and attended to

  • Visitor Follow-up & Integration: lead as the primary point of contact for new guests

  • Administrative Integration: collaborate with current staff in maintaining and updating the church member roster

• Mobilization: Reaching the Neighborhood (Outward)

  • Community Partnership: act as the primary liaison between Green Level and the local area

  • Community Outreach: collaborate with church ministries and members in new and existing outreach efforts

  • Church Representation: represent the church at Southern Baptist conventions and other local, regional or national associations, relaying missions and ministry opportunities back to the congregation

• Pastoral Support & Leadership (Upward)

  • Inter-Pastoral Partnership: serve as the primary ministry partner for the Senior Pastor to evaluate ideas, shape the vision for ministry, establish goals and implement church initiatives

  • Teaching & Preaching: assist the Senior Pastor in shepherding the flock through teaching, training and preaching

  • Ministry Collaboration: work alongside the Senior Pastor, Deacons and Staff to ensure all church members and ministries remain unified and gospel-centered
