OVERVIEW

CrossPointe Church is seeking a Worship Pastor that will serve as an elder and shepherd primarily leading a Word-centered and gospel-centered worship ministry to members of CrossPointe Church to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Growing relationship with Jesus Christ evidenced by action, attitude, and behavior.

  • Keep family in the right position of priorities, that Christ is first, and that family is a priority over work.

  • Regular attendance at Sunday morning and evening services. Wednesday evenings and special services as-needed.

  • Uphold, submit to, and live in accordance with the church’s Statement of Faith and Covenant as a member of the church.

  • Understand and embrace critical theological distinctives of CrossPointe Church

  • Undergraduate degree from a four-year accredited university and experience leading congregational worship required

  • Preferable that the applicant have seminary training and 1-3 years of ministry experience on church staff or with a Christian ministry.

  • Serve the church by directing the worship ministry with the necessary managerial, administrative, and technical skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead CrossPointe in musical worship through singing and playing one or more instruments.

  • Plan and execute worship service plans (alongside lead pastor) that are theologically astute, participatory and congregationally focused.

  • Recruit, train, schedule and oversee a team of volunteer musicians and vocalists.

  • Develop worship team members into worship leaders.

  • Coordinate and lead weekly worship team practices

  • Lead worship for other CrossPointe services as they occur.

  • Help with music or tech needs outside of regular CrossPointe gatherings

  • Maintain church music database along with legal copyright records with CCLI or music publisher.

  • Plan, coordinate and oversee the budget for worship and tech.

  • Recruit, train, schedule and oversee a team of volunteer A/V techs.

  • Ability to be trained and learn the sound, lighting and visual systems.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Lead or Executive Pastor.
