OVERVIEW

CrossPointe Church is seeking a Discipleship Pastor that will work under the Elders’ oversight to direct a Word-centered and gospel-centered ministry to the men and women of CrossPointe Church to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Growing relationship with Jesus Christ evidenced by action, attitude, and behavior.

  • Keep family in the right position of priorities, that Christ is first, and that family is a priority over work.

  • Regular attendance at Sunday morning and evening services. Wednesday evenings and special services as-needed.

  • Uphold, submit to, and live in accordance with the church’s Statement of Faith and Covenant as a member of the church.

  • Understand and embrace critical theological distinctives of CrossPointe Church

  • Undergraduate degree from a four-year accredited university required

  • Preferable that the applicant have seminary training and 1-3 years of ministry experience on church staff.

  • Serve the church with the necessary managerial, administrative, and technical skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preach multiple times per calendar year.

  • Teach Sunday Morning Classes, Mid-Week Fellowship, bible studies, etc.

  • Develop & implement vision, goals and objectives for Men’s Ministry.

  • Lead and equip men to serve the church.

  • Oversee and coordinate men’s bible studies.

  • Plan, coordinate and lead conferences or events.

  • Serve as pastoral resource and decision maker for Women’s Ministry.

  • Provide oversight and direction for vision of Women’s Ministry.

  • Oversee women’s bible studies.

  • Help the Women’s Ministry team plan for events.

  • Recruit and equip members to lead community groups.

  • Lead CG leader workshops.

  • Meet with male CG leaders to debrief.

  • Connect members and non-members to CG’s.

  • Prepare weekly discussion guides for CG’s.

  • Plan, coordinate and lead family ministry events

  • Provide biblical care and counseling for members.

  • Visit members at home or in the hospital.

  • Conduct member interviews for prospective members.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor or Executive Pastor.
