Pastor of Biblical Counseling
OVERVIEW
Crosspointe Church in Columbus, Georgia is seeking a full-time Pastor of Biblical Counseling. The Pastor of Biblical Counseling will work under the Elders’ oversight to direct a Word-centered and gospel-centered ministry to the men and women of CrossPointe Church to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
QUALIFICATIONS
Growing relationship with Jesus Christ evidenced by your action, attitude, and behavior
Keep family in the right position of priorities: Christ is first and family is a priority over work
Regular attendance at Sunday morning and evening services. Wednesday evenings and special services as-needed.
Uphold, submit to, and live in accordance with the church’s Statement of Faith and Covenant as a member of the church
Understand and embrace critical theological distinctives of CrossPointe Church which are: Reformed soteriology, Male-only eldership, Believer’s baptism
Required that the applicant have seminary training and 8 years of ministry experience as a Certified Biblical Counselor
Serve the church with the necessary managerial, administrative, and technical skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
Counseling
Primary biblical counselor for members of CrossPointe Church
Build a culture of lay counseling and discipleship
Utilize technology to track counseling
Oversee and provide premarital counseling with other pastors
Equipping
Provide counseling training for leaders and members of CrossPointe Church
Mobilize members to pursue biblical counseling certification
Lead biblical counseling workshops for members and other local churches
Member Care
Oversee care for the members of CrossPointe Church
Oversee the membership process
Help new members to connect with and serve the church
Guide members as they leave CrossPointe Church to connect and join another local church wherever they are moving to
