Part-Time Music Leader

OVERVIEW

Coram Deo Baptist Church of Angier, NC is seeking a part-time Music Leader to help their church sing the truth of the gospel with clarity and conviction. They’re not looking to build a performance but build a people who sing. The right person will help their church lift their eyes to Christ, respond to His Word, and worship in a way that is rooted in truth, shaped by Scripture, and expressed with genuine joy. This role is musical and leadership-driven (not pastoral), but carries meaningful spiritual influence as you help shape how their church worships together. This position is supervised by the Elders and reports to the lead pastor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Man with exemplary deacon-qualified character attested by others

• Theologically grounded and aligned with Coram Deo’s doctrine

• Prospective member of CDBC and active participant in its ministries

• Capable musician. Vocals; and guitar or piano required

• Experienced in platform and public leadership

• College Graduate (Seminary assistance available)

• Proficient in managing media, software and web-based applications

• Dependable, teachable, organized, relational, and able to build a team

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead congregational singing on Sundays and occasional special gatherings

• Select biblically faithful, gospel-centered songs that are appropriate for congregational singing

• Recruit, schedule, and organize musicians and AV tech volunteers for all Sundays of the year

• Ensure sound, equipment, and instrumentation are prepared and functioning well

• Communicate clearly and prepare the team ahead of time by managing basic systems for scheduling, charts, and service flow

• Live a Christ-like life consistent with the gospel
