OVERVIEW

Coral Hill Baptist Church in Glasgow, KY is seeking a full-time associate pastor to serve as part of Coral Hill’s Pastoral Team helping to shepherd the church towards the fulfillment of the Great Commission, especially in the areas of children and students.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Biblically qualified to serve as a Pastor/Elder (1 Timothy 3)

  • Testimony of biblical conversion and clear call into the gospel ministry

  • He should be thoroughly reliable

  • He should be a man of character and personal integrity. It is anticipated that he be married and have the full support of his wife.

  • Formal education is preferred but not a requirement

  • Measure of pastoral ministry experience is expected

  • Maintain a biblical lifestyle as an example to the fellowship (I Tim 4:12)

  • Committed to biblical doctrine as articulated in the Baptist Faith and Message (2000)

  • Ministry philosophy that is kingdom minded, gospel centered, and people oriented

  • Continuance in ministry training either formal or informally

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee weekly ministry to children (birth through 6th grade and 7th through 12th grade), including working with the Coordinators serving in this area

  • Help recruit, mobilize, and provide pastoral care for volunteers in these areas as needed

  • Help equip and resource KidZone teachers in the area of faithful Bible teaching

  • Serve as primary Bible teacher for teenagers on Wednesday nights

  • Provide leadership for Student Ministry Mentors

  • Facilitate CHBC’s Disciple-Making Initiative (a framework for discipling students)

  • Lead annual Fall Prayer Retreat (designed for middle school and high school students)

  • Develop a stronger foundation for ministry to Young Adults in our congregation (18-25)

  • Lead a Young Adult small group on Sunday mornings

  • Help provide supervision for Summer Intern(s) and/or Summer Events Coordinator(s)

  • Serve as part of the Pastoral Team at Coral Hill BC

  • Carry out other responsibilities as delegated by the Pastoral Team

This is a salaried position with a forty-hour a week minimum commitment and an expectation of consistent office hours to be maintained and an accountability time sheet be submitted monthly. Vacation, sick, and holidays will be provided along with reimbursement of ministry miles.
