Christ Fellowship Residents
OVERVIEW
Christ Fellowship Northgate in Greenville, SC is seeking to hire a group of residents for the 2026-27 year (September 2026 - August 2027). Residents will serve the church Sunday-Wednesday each week. The resident will be assigned a ministry role that aligns with that person’s gifts, passions, and sense of calling.
QUALIFICATIONS
Faithful members of a church currently
Endorsement of their present pastor for the residency
Evidence of consistent pursuit and fruitfulness in embodying the character qualifications of a pastor or deacon
Experience leading within the local church (this leadership does not have to be a formal, vocational role)
Completed an undergraduate degree and actively enrolled in seminary or willing to take seminary classes as a part of the residency program
Ideal resident: man or woman who convictionally aligns with the ecclesiology of The Pillar Network and is seeking to enter vocational ministry as a pastor, church planter, missionary, or women’s ministry leader
RESPONSIBILITIES
Intentional time of ministerial training that includes reading, writing, and learning from the pastors and ministry leaders of the church
Serve the church throughout the week and in its gatherings
Commit to the Family Culture Commitment
Faithfully prepare, passionately discuss, actively listen, and graciously own the decisions made as a team (Fully Present)
Seek out ways to support and encourage the team and make their work easier (Servant Hearted)
Celebrate evidence of God’s grace in the church and in the lives of the leaders of the church (Intentionally Optimistic)
Choose to believe the best about other pastors and staff and give them the grace and kindness that I hope others will also show me (Grace Giving)
Take concerns I have to someone quickly, directly, and privately (Privately Candid)
Strive to give my best to my work and will seek help when I can’t (Pursuing Excellence)
MORE INFO & APPLYING
Residents will be paid $15,000 and be provided free housing either with church members or in housing secured by the church.
Residents will be encouraged to supplement income through support raising or secondary employment.
