OVERVIEW

Christ Covenant Church in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Part-Time Worship Leader. The worship leader will plan, coordinate, and lead all musical aspects of the worship service and other special events. They will also recruit and train worship ministry volunteers.

Christ Covenant Church exists to glorify God by exalting Christ, equipping the saints, and evangelizing the world. Their vision is to be a faithful gospel presence in Rocky Mount, NC, growing as disciples of Jesus and going to plant and support other churches to do the same in their communities. Their worship style is contemporary – combining modern hymnody and theologically rich worship songs. They currently have a volunteer bass player, keyboard player, electric guitar player, and vocalists.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Growing relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the church’s beliefs in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as well as the Pillar Network pillars

  • Member of the church (You do not currently have to be a member)

  • Heart for leading the church in corporate worship

  • Dependable, humble, team oriented, and willing to submit to church leadership

  • Proficiency on guitar, piano, or other lead instrument

  • Strong vocal ability and confidence leading congregational worship

  • Familiarity with worship software such as Planning Center and ProPresenter

  • Ability to arrange and direct a small team of musicians

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside the Lead Pastor to plan each Sunday’s order of service, including songs with appropriate keys and attachments for the band and vocalists

  • Lead Sunday Morning Music and Rehearsal

  • Schedule the worship team band, vocalists, and production team volunteers

  • Input weekly presentation files for weekly worship gathering

  • Oversee audio and visual tech for worship gatherings

  • Teach and implement new songs while evaluating and guarding the “songbook” of the church

  • Upgrade tech as needed

  • Oversee and schedule weekly livestream

  • This position will report to the Lead Pastor and is expected to be 10-15 hours per week.
