Church Planting Resident

OVERVIEW

Christ Covenant Church is seeking a church planter to spend 12-24 months serving the church and preparing to plant in the Raleigh area. The church plant would be sent out with support and members of the church and would serve as the pastor of the church plant.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Meets the qualifications of a pastor as outlined in 1 Tim. 3 and Tit. 1

  • Has a deep desire to see people grow in their love and obedience to Christ

  • Has full-time pastoral ministry experience

  • Reformed in theology

  • An ecclesiology that fits within the framework of 9Marks of a Healthy Church

  • In agreement with the BFM2000

  • Is hardworking and able to shoulder the physical, administrative, and spiritual weight of church planting work

  • Welcomes and seeks input from the elders of CCC

  • If married, has a spouse that is in happy agreement with pursuing church planting

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the pastors in member care and discipleship

  • Lead a care group and/or men's Bible study

  • Regular teaching

  • Develop a philosophy of ministry, prospectus, constitution, and church covenant

  • Identify and meet regularly with a core team from CCC

  • Participate in further church planting training and pastoral development

  • 40-50 hours per week (full-time)
