Church Planting Pastor

OVERVIEW

Centerville Christian Fellowship in Centerville, OH is seeking a Church Planting Pastor with the intent of being equipped and sent out within 18-24 months as the pastoral leader for a church plant or re-plant. He would initially join the CCF staff with the title of Church Planting Resident. After appropriate time and consideration, and with the affirmation of CCF’s elders, the intention would be to transition the Church Planting Resident to the title Church Planting Pastor sometime before he plants. Concurrent with this transition, the new Church Planting Pastor would become an elder at CCF.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Meet the spiritual and character qualifications of an elder as found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9

• Manifest clear support for the leadership of the church pursuant to biblical unity

• Exhibit the fruit of the Spirit as found in Galatians 5:22

• Be wise, discerning, decisive, sensitive, tender, and firm

• Devoted to daily prayer and Bible reading, regularly leading his family in regular times in the Word and prayer

• At least a bachelor’s level of formal training or its equivalent and experience in pastoral ministry

• Skills including leadership, relational, administrative, preaching, teaching/equipping, communicating, and peacemaking

RESPONSIBILITES

• Grow in the grace and knowledge of God

• Clarify and communicate the vision of Centerville Christian Fellowship in accordance with the Scriptures and in coordination with the Elders and staff of CCF

• Discipleship

• Church Plant Preparations

• Gain exposure to all areas of ministry within CCF

• Participate in pastoral and staff-related meetings and events

MORE INFO & APPLYING

The Church Planting Pastor will be directly accountable to the Lead Pastor and annually evaluated by him. As well as secondarily accountable to the Elders of CCF.
