OVERVIEW

Sunbury City Church in Sunbury, PA is praying and fasting for their next Lead Pastor to serve as their spiritual leader. The Senior Pastor must be committed to the inerrancy and authority of the Bible, unashamed of the gospel as the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, and be devoted to preaching the whole counsel of God’s Word. He will be a skilled expositor of the Bible, a shepherd who loves and cares for his flock, one who prioritizes discipleship, and himself being transformed by God’s Word. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Characterizes qualifications of 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1

  • Affirmation of the Baptist Faith and Message (2000)

  • Ideally, someone with minimum of 2 years of experience in ministry

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to all responsibilities outlined within the Church Bylaws

  • Overseeing the ministry work of the church consisting of the deacon ministry, committees, worship services, baptism, and communion 

  • Regularly preach at the Sunday gathering

  • Do the work of an evangelist

  • Be regularly discipling others

  • Other duties as required by the needs of the Church or determined by the Elder and Deacons
