OVERVIEW

Arrowhead Church Kingsport, a new church plant launching in Kingsport, Tennessee, is looking for a godly and skilled man to serve part-time as Worship Pastor. He will plan and lead Sunday morning worship alongside the Lead Pastor, raise up and train volunteers, and help the church glorify God through music and song. This role is ideal for a man who loves the local church and is energized by the work of planting something new.

At Arrowhead, our ministry model is to equip the saints, not to be good executors ourselves (Eph. 4:12), so we're looking for someone who will raise up others rather than carry worship alone. We want a man who believes worship connects the heart with the head — that good doctrine matters, that there is value in both the traditional and the new, that there should be joy in worship, and prioritizes congregational singing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to become a partner of Arrowhead Church by affirming the church's doctrine and Partnership Covenant

  • Ideally ordained as a pastor, with prior experience leading worship in a church setting

  • Ability to lead musically on piano, guitar, or vocals

  • Ability to plan and lead a service through its various elements

  • Ability to recruit, train, and equip volunteers

  • Love for the Lord and love for the church

  • Maintain God-ordained priorities by putting Jesus Christ first and maintaining a vibrant relationship with Him

  • Pursue a gospel-centered character

  • Excellent people skills and a mentality of serving not just Arrowhead Church staff, but all of its volunteers

  • Maintain an attitude of humility and kindness

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan Sunday morning services with the Lead Pastor

  • Prepare, train, and equip church members to lead worship

  • Support other ministries of the church as needed

  • Plan music and train volunteers

  • Seek opportunities to partner with like-minded churches and organizations in the community to support kingdom work
