Financial Partners for Pastoral Training
OVERVIEW
Healthy churches need faithful pastors, yet many men with a genuine desire for ministry lack the opportunity to receive intentional theological and pastoral training within the context of a healthy local church.
Providence Church Dubai is a cross-cultural church, and is establishing a one-year Pastoral Internship and a three-year Pastoral Church Planting Residency to identify, train, and develop future pastors, church planters, and ministry leaders through mentoring, theological education, and hands-on cross-cultural ministry experience serving people from all nations--The Philippines, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Burundi, Kenya, Egypt, Pakistan, USA, and many more. Residents will receive modest financial support while serving approximately 20 hours each week in church-based ministry and pursuing theological studies through Gulf Theological Seminary.
Because many qualified candidates have limited financial means and must balance ministry preparation with the high cost of living in Dubai, we are seeking ministry partners who will help provide stipends, theological education, ministry resources, and training opportunities. Your partnership will enable us to invest in faithful men who, by God's grace, will go on to strengthen existing churches, plant new churches, and proclaim the gospel for years to come.
Sample cost for a bachelor, or married without kids -- Church Planting Resident
Visa Cost ( 2 years) – USD 3,500-4900 (additional USD 500 if married)
Health Insurance (1 year) – USD 1700 (x2 if married)
Housing, 1 Bedroom apartment (1 year) – USD 16,500
Utilities (1 year) – USD 4900
Living Expenses (1 year) – USD 12,000 --> This is normally what we can manage, but this would also mean that the candidate should already be living here in the UAE. This would mean that it has to be a single guy, under his parents' visa sponsorship, and living with them.
If we are taking someone from outside the UAE, the above would be the approximate costs.
Theological education will also be covered by us.
