OVERVIEW

FBC Gray of Gray, Ga is currently seeking a Lead Pastor. Their Lead Pastor will be an Elder, serving as the primary spiritual leader of the church and the ministerial staff in day-to-day operations. He is responsible for expository preaching, teaching, pastoral counseling, and leadership. Therefore, his role will be to guide the church in fulfilling its God-given mission.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clear and credible testimony of personal salvation and a life that reflects spiritual maturity and biblical character (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9)

  • Unquestionable integrity that sets a high moral standard for the congregation to follow

  • Possess a heart for ministering to people of all ages

  • Master of Divinity or comparable degree from an accredited conservative, evangelical, or Southern Baptist seminary (or its equivalent) preferred

  • Align with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a church of at least 100 regular attendees (equal combination of education and experience may be considered)

  • Experience in an Elder-led church preferred

  • Experience in preparing and preaching expository sermons

  • Ability to work with multiple generations within the church

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regularly preach and teach Scripture

  • Provide pastoral counseling and care

  • Be the primary spiritual leader of the church and ministerial staff

  • Oversee day-to-day operations

  • Guide the church in fulfilling its God-given mission of making disciples that grow and go
