ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (FT)

OVERVIEW

The Pillar Network is a growing church planting & revitalization network in 40+ nations, with over 520+ partnering churches, headquartered in Wake Forest, NC.

We are currently hiring for a full-time, in-office Administrative Assistant (AA) to provide general office support to our Wake Forest staff. We are looking for someone who is humble, servant-hearted, teachable, and willing to go the extra mile for the good of the team. This individual will also need strong organizational skills, display a sharp attention to detail, have the ability to maintain data/metrics, work well with office software, have the ability to maintain schedules, engage professional email communications, travel for some events a few times per year, and display a willingness to adapt to needs as they may arise. The AA is directly accountable to the Executive Director (ED), Operations Director (OD) and Events Manager (EM).  

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Serves as the primary administrative element within Pillar
·  Works with the Comms staff to maintain proper communicational standards across the network
·  Oversees and ensures the collection and processing of Pillar data and metrics
·  Works with the EM and OD to plan and execute quality events
·  Helps with the ordering, shipping, and storing of merch/supplies
·  Works with the other staff to ensure proper materials are both sent and returned from events in a timely manner
·  Handles the lion’s share of individual email communications & requests
·  Books flights/hotels/event spaces for staff and secures other reservations as needed
·  Assists upper staff with scheduling, itineraries, and logistics
·  Seeks to enhance network efficiency and trouble-shoots potential problems
·  Represents the Pillar Network with Christ-like character to employees, our constituents, partners, and community
·  Performs other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

·  Superior verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
·  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
·  Must be a humble, teachable, team-player who puts others first
·  Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and the Mac Ecosystem
·  The ability and desire to acquire new skills and to learn new software packages such as Mailchimp, Squarespace, and Salesforce (we will provide adequate training in these areas)
·   Must have the ability to travel for some major events (typically 2 – 4 times per year)
·   Some lifting (40lbs or less) and physical activity is required for this position, mostly prior to or during events and for shipping materials for conferences

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

·  Bachelor’s degree preferred
·  At least 2 years full-time experience in a varied work environment that requires strong administrative skills and the ability to adapt to new challenges

COMPENSATION

·  Salary: $36K - $37K depending on experience
·  Benefits: health insurance, dental insurance, +1% Christmas bonus, travel expenses, 2-weeks paid vacation
