COVENANT OF PARTNERSHIP

PARTNERSHIP OVERVIEW

We are grateful for your church’s commitment to cooperate with the Pillar Network and our new formal partnership in the gospel. This page serves the purpose of communicating our DNA, beliefs, and the responsibilities of a church cooperating within the Pillar Network. By signing our Covenant of Partnership, you are affirming Pillar's DNA, beliefs, and your responsibilities to the Network. The Pillar Network leadership (Board and Directors) reserves the right to revoke membership status at any time if a cooperating church does not demonstrate a commitment to this DNA, beliefs, responsibilities, or if there is unethical behavior on behalf of the pastoral leadership.

PARTNERSHIP OBLIGATIONS

The below bullets summarize what meaningful partnership looks like in our network. For any questions about this, please contact our staff.

  • AFFIRM our DNA and beliefs

  • ENGAGE in network functions (ex. zoom calls, regional events, the Unite Conference, etc.)

  • GIVE meaningfully to the Pillar Network (ex. Most US churches move towards giving 1-2% of their budgets)

  • PARTNER directly with at least one other church plant/revitalization work in the Pillar Network (US or International)

STATEMENT OF FAITH

As an SBC and International Baptist Network we gladly stand in the reformed Baptist tradition and commend Statements of Faith like the Abstract of Principles (1858) and the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). Here is the Pillar Statement of Faith:

OTHER STATEMENTS WE AFFIRM

Historically, churches have found it necessary, given the cultural moment, to craft statements that make clear what the Bible says about certain issues. We find ourselves in a cultural moment that demands we make clear what the Bible says about itself, gender, and sexuality, and so we ask that all of our Pillar churches affirm the following three statements.
