Financial Partners for Ministry Residency
OVERVIEW
The mission of King’s Church is to prize and proclaim the excellencies of Jesus for the glory of God and the good of all peoples. We are located in the heart of High Point - North Carolina’s International City. As such, our church serves in a cross-cultural context and our desire is to see unlikely friends become loving family through the Gospel.
As a new church in a city with great need, we often feel the reality of the harvest being plentiful and the workers being few. That’s one of the reasons we have a commitment to raising up future pastors and ministry leaders.
To accomplish this, we are developing a 2-Year Ministry Residency designed to equip and prepare future ministry leaders for faithful service in the local church. This residency will also enable us to place an additional full-time laborer into the harvest, strengthening both the resident's development and the ongoing work of making disciples in our city. This is strategic in both the short-term (more workers in the harvest) and long-term (more faithful shepherds for years to come).
By becoming a Residency Partner, your church is investing in the future of gospel ministry - not only by strengthening King's Church today, but by helping train a future leader for years to come. Your partnership will help us:
Raise up future pastors and ministry leaders
Strengthen a young church during its formative years
Place another full-time worker into the harvest
We would love the opportunity to share more about the residency, answer any questions, and explore how your church might partner with us in this work.
Residency Components:
Pastoral Development: The heart of this residency is developing future pastors and ministry leaders who are grounded in Scripture, equipped for ministry, and shaped by the character qualifications of a pastor. Through intentional mentoring, theological training, and hands-on ministry experience, residents will be prepared for long-term, faithful service in the local church.
Ministry Leadership: Residents will take on meaningful leadership within the life of the church, growing in their ability to lead teams, shepherd people, organize ministry, and serve alongside the elders. This not only develops capable leaders but also strengthens the ministry capacity of a new church.
Evangelism: Residents will help the church engage new people and places with the gospel by cultivating relationships, entering strategic mission fields, and establishing evangelistic Bible studies. Whether at High Point University, among international communities, or in other contexts in need of the Gospel, the resident will help till the soil for Gospel advance while equipping the church to faithfully live on mission.
